COOKIES

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are very small text files that websites install on visitor's devices for a number of reasons, from enabling shopping baskets to work properly to allowing marketing and advertising to be targeted to specific customers.

WHAT IS THE NEW EU COOKIES LAW?

The EU Cookies Law (known as the e-Privacy Directive) is an European law passed in 2011, which came into force in the UK on 26th May 2012.

From this date websites which use Cookies must advise the visitor that this is happening. The least intrusive way to do this is by incorporating information regarding Cookies on the Privacy Page of the website. The law was primarily designed to stop privacy invasion and the tracking of visitors on a large scale, particularly by large organisations trying to track people's browsing habits without their knowledge.

HOW WE USE COOKIES

EmmaRose Crafts sets 'Performance' Cookies - these collect information such as which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from certain pages. These cookies do not collect information that identifies a visitor. All the information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.  It is used only to improve how our website works.
